A healthy alternative in the snack food realm, this easy spicy popcorn is perfect for any snack attack, movie night or sleepover party. Made using air-popped popcorn (in your microwave), a little olive oil and a spicy popcorn seasoning from Just Spices, it's sure to become your new favorite snack!
Using a microwave popcorn bowl, insert the "power concentrator" disc into the bottom of the bowl (or follow whatever instructions required for your bowl).
Pour 1 1/2 Tbsp olive oil into the bottom of the bowl (on top of the disc)
Put 1/3 cup whole kernel popcorn on top of the oil, making sure the kernels are spread evenly (they should do this naturally)
Microwave for 2 to 2 1/2 minutes, depending on your microwave (until all the popcorn is almost done popping - be careful not to let it burn in the middle)
Remove from microwave and immediately remove the lid
Add the popcorn seasoning and mix well - I like to add half the mixture while in the microwave bowl, then transfer it to a larger bowl and add the rest, so it's easier to mix it up. Important - add the seasoning while the popcorn is still hot so it sticks to the popcorn better.
If desired, add 1/4 to 1/2 tsp white sugar and mix.
